The employment law boutique TINHOFER was founded by Dr. Andreas Tinhofer, LL.M., at the beginning of 2020. He has been cooperating with our law firm since January 2024.
Andreas Tinhofer has been advising employers and executives on all aspects of employment law for around 20 years, including data protection and occupational pensions. Andreas has a particular interest in artificial intelligence and its impact on working life and HR management. He is also actively exploring the possibilities of AI and how it can be used by law firms and legal departments for the benefit of their clients. Andreas regularly represents his clients before Austrian courts and other authorities and bodies (e.g. Equal Treatment Commission, Arbitration Board). He works in German and English.
As the author of numerous publications, Andreas Tinhofer has commented on important employment law issues (e.g. transfer of business, termination, management board contracts, temporary employment and secondments). Since 2009, he has also been the National Correspondent of the international journal "European Employment Law Cases" (EELC) for Austria. From 1996 to 2019, Andreas Tinhofer was a lecturer in employment law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and since 2023 he has been teaching on the "Digital HR Management and Labour Law" course at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna. He also regularly holds seminars for managing directors and HR managers on employment law topics.
Andreas Tinhofer studied at the University of Vienna (Dr. iur. 2000), the University of Exeter (LL.M. 1995) and the Université Paris II (1992). He then researched and taught at the Institute for Labor and Social Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Andreas Tinhofer is a member of the Vienna Bar Association, the Austrian Society for Labor Law and Social Law, the International Society for Labor Law and Social Law and the European Employment Lawyers' Association (EELA).
